<sup>Benji could barely breath in this damn thing. The mask over his head was suffocating and he was sweating in places he didnt even know you could sweat in. It was worth it though, well worth it. He had decided today would be better if they skipped seventh period and then used that time to dress up in gorilla costumes and make Mikey do the same. Mikey was easy to get do anything he wanted, so that was a plus. The kid didnt even put up a fight, if Benji asked him to jump mikey asked how high.

Benji told him to take the one side of classes and he would take the other side and then they would meet at the bleachers near the track field.

It would have been so much easier if they had a room of their own but unfortunately they were roomed separately. Benji had at first just barged into their room all the way up until Mikeys roommate wasnt getting too thrilled about that. Now he had to knock and risk waking his brother up, which really he should sleep like a log like he did. Curse his brother for being a light sleeper. He should really work something out with that roommate of his.

Today though, Benji had snuck in through the window. Seriously who leaves their window unlocked and its cold out! oh I know! MIKEY DOES because hes a big big freak! OH well the fact was he totally jumped his brother scaring his ass awake. He totally thought about cold water, but refrained because he didnt want to piss him off. And as always he agreed to do this like the good little brother that he was. You could ask where did you get the gorilla suits? Well they were gorillas last year for holloween and you can bet your dollar that had totally saved the costumes and yes you can also bet that Benji probably had this in mind when he'd done it.

They took the costumes back to Benjis room and stashed them there making plans to meet their after sixth period. Then when the time came they stripped down to their boxers because really the suit was awful and if they didnt mind about chaffing they would totally have gone naked, it sucked that it was itchy as well but what can you do on that.

Benji jumped around, acting like a gorilla, strewn some papers and books around, messed up a few of the teachers desks and pretended to eat bugs out of a couple students hair. Most of them were too stunned to really react other then to laugh or bat away or scream or throw rulers at him that was totally a teacher. there were a few times that he thought hed get caught, the female teachers really sucked at doing anything other then call up to the offices but the male teachers were the ones that nearly caught him. He wondered how Mikey was doing.

Benji hopped out of the last class he could hear the disruption that was going on from the classrooms in the hallway. He knew it was like that on the side mikey was on and he laughed inside thinking how confused they were going to be getting calls from different classrooms like that.

Benji kept making the sounds as he made his way towards the gymnasium. THankfully the classes were still in the locker rooms that he got through it to the doors and started running til he got to the track field. He glanced around not seeing his brother at all, he hoped he had made it out alive.

He pulled the walkie talkie he had out of the pocket of his suit. Yeah who knew. He hadnt been expecting to find that but they must have thought it would be good for trick'r'treating to have pockets. THey werent big, but the surved a purpose. He lifted it to his face, having not pulled the mask off yet.

Marco!! over.

He waited but didnt hear anything. marco, over he said again. still nothing. maybe he was still running. he snorted at that.

dont get caught over. he said again. he probably shouldnt be calling attention to his brothers walkee talkie, but oh well.

report back asap. over

he chuckled and shook his head as he set the walkie talkie beside him on the bench he sat on. no one was out there, that he could see of anyway. hed wait a bit then go back and find him if he still hadnt shown up or given any indication on the talkie.</sup>

Cortney would get in trouble for no reason. All ready dressed out for p.e. she was just trying to handle the class. Everything in Chicago was still new to her so she wasn’t sure what to do at the school in the least other than show up to classes and do what the teachers asked of her. Though apparently she had been doing things wrong since some of the girls in her p.e. class decided to mess with her. They were all getting ready to go through the gym, which had seen a gorilla without anyone there, and as Cortney was just trying to walk along in the front behind the teacher some girl shoved into her causing her to stumble and fall into the back of the teacher. Needless to say the teacher was none too pleased. It wasn’t as if Cortney had knocked her to the ground or anything, just made her lose her balance a bit. Either was she just got a finger pointing towards the outdoors saying to go run on the track for the rest of the class time.

The running wasn’t that terrible of a punishment but the fact that it was for the rest of the class period really made it hard. Class had only just begun for Cortney since dressing out had taken a while, mostly because of the other girls in the class. Sighing Cortney just did as she was told and walked out the doors and made her way to the track. It bothered her that the teacher was all ready going to hate her from the start when she hadn’t truly done anything wrong and no harm was committed. There was nothing she could do about it now though. As she went through the gates to the track she saw that no one else was really around and the p.e. teacher probably wouldn’t even catch up on her. Walking all the laps would be easier and then she could just mess around.

As she was ready to begin her long walk of shame around the track she spotted something sitting on a bench. It was a big hairy black thing. Confusion was obvious on Cortney’s face as she couldn’t figure out what exactly it was so she started walking towards it. As she got closer she could tell that it was a gorilla, or really someone in a gorilla suit. She chuckled to herself at the sight of it. Who had decided to dress up in a gorilla suit anyways? Maybe they had just finished terrorizing someone outside, except there was no one around. ”Mind if I ask what exactly you are doing?” she questioned as she stood only a few feet away from the person in a gorilla costume sitting on a bench. There was a walkie talkie in his hand, so maybe he had been talking to someone. The kids here at this school were a whole lot different from the ones back in Arizona.

<sup>Benji propped his hair feet up onto the bench in front of him. Now that it was after noon the sun was actually warming things up. He was sure the temperature was at least in the sixties. He tipped his head back and sighed. He heard nothing from the walkie talkie and he frowned. Man he really hoped he didnt get caught. Sure hed just go bail him out but depending on where hed been taken it wasnt so easy. he knew his brother wouldnt rat him out but that didnt mean that he liked his brother taking the fall. He had his brother do this with him to have fun not to bet he fall guy.

He layed his arms out, the costume giving some kind of comfort to the metal benches pressing into his back in horrible spots. He layed like that a few moments before finally pulling himself up. He really couldnt breath in this. He brought his hands to the bottom of the mask about ready to take it off when he heard a voice and his head darted down towards the voice, brow quirking up a bit and a smirk touched his lips though you couldnt see it behind the mask.

huh.. well hello there. he grunted and then brought his hands back stuffing the walkie talking into his pocket and then hunched back into gorilla stance and made a few ooh ooh sounds like a gorilla and beat his chest. what do you mean? he asked. Im sitting here... enjoying the scenery/ he reflexively winked even though he knew she couldnt see it. oh well he couldnt help it. they should make masks that did what your actions were. He would waggle his brows at her too, but oh well. Man it was really hard not to do things you normally do.

He made his way down towards her and leaned on the fence close to her. so.. he said. what are you doing out here? he asked and then a mental image hit him. he felt like he was standing like bugs bunny and then he thought about what it would look like if he were eating a carrot. he snorted and shook his head rubbing the back of it. besides disrupting a poor gorilla just trying to get some pace from those pesky zoo people. you dont know how hard it is to be an entertainer. he told her and rubbed his chin. people always demanding things from you. he shrugged and then tilted his head and reached out acting as if he grabbed a bug from her hair and ate it. nom nom he smirked.

he studied her. you new around here? he asked. dont recognize you. he reached over and poked her shoulder. then did it again. He moved his finger lower and poked her side best he could since there was a lfence in between them. you out her for shits and giggles or ... ? he shrugged</sup>

The person who was in the gorilla suit had actually said something back to Cortney. By their voice she could tell that it was a guy. She had never really seen a girl dress up in a gorilla suit, that was usually something that was expected of a guy but she didn’t know what to think either way. ”I don’t know what scenery you mean because this track and field isn’t all that great.” giggled Cortney. She was both laughing at what he said and how he acted like a gorilla. Even she knew that it wasn’t the best view around, especially since it was still winter. Though at least there wasn’t snow on the ground or anything like that. Only a bit chilly.

As the guy in the gorilla suit leaned on the fence Cortney just stayed where she was a bit away from the fence. ”Ah, pesky zoo people huh? I didn’t even know there was a zoo around here. But I suppose it is pretty hard to be an entertainer. Especially considering the fact that you are a talking animal. Now that must really get people to go wild. Have any scientists come to experiment on you and try to figure out how you got your voice?” she asked. Of course she was only joking around. Now she figured that he had run around in the gorilla suit entertaining some of the other kids at school. Giggling once more she said, ”I’m sure that was delicious.” The guy really was in character and it didn’t seem as if he would be breaking it anytime soon.

”Yeah, I am new around here actually. But I’m not sure how much you can recognize if you are looking through a mask.” she started, ”I’m Cortney and I’m out here because some girls in p.e. class thought it would be fun to shove me into the teacher so I was sent out here to run laps just because of that. I just bumped into her too, nothing bad happened.” As he poked her through the fence she wasn’t sure what exactly he was trying to do. When he poked her side she flinched away because of reflex. ”Stop that, I’m ticklish.” she laughed. If he was trying to figure out if she was ticklish she didn’t get why he poked her shoulder first.

<sup>Benji smirked and tilted his head a bit. Mmm… well clearly you’re not seeing the view I am’ he made sure to put the flirtation in his voice. Because from what Im seeing… it. Is. quite a view. It was hard to see through the eye holes of the gorilla suit but at the same time he still saw plenty. And what he saw he liked. S he was cute and she seemed to have an easy personality. She didn’t have any kind of judgment in her voice, which was nice. He had already got several comments just being in the suit, mostly from girls. Guys usually cheered this shit on.

Benjis brow quirked up and he laughed a bit. His face would be showing amusement if she could see it. He gave a small shrug then turned and looked over his shoulder, towards the school. Jerking his paw towards it he turned back to her. Zoo’s right there.. he said. We’re all entertainers. he smirked. They test me all the time. Don’t you get tested? he asked and poked and prodded at her a bit, picking up an arm and letting it go. what are you anyway? he asked. Benji smirked. mm.. you know it. They’re my favorite treat. he told her. I want some more… he picked at her hair again playfully pretending to eat some more.

Ah… I see. he told her. well… he shrugged. I can see quite fine. it’s always good to meet new and very, very cute girls. he said. Yes I know. Can I be any more cliché… sure I can. he poked her again. Oh so sorry… I didn’t mean to do that. Since I know you’re ticklish… I’ll stop/’ his tone playful as he poked her yet again. Naw im teasing. he reached up finally taking the mask off. He really was starting to suffocate. Names Benji he told her, running a hand through his hair knowing it was probably mask dented and flat to his head. So.. Girls are being dicks to you? he shook his head. Their loss…. My gain. he grinned, this time it wasn’t for nothing considering now the mask was off.</sup>

Cortney smiled and felt a bit of red rush to her cheeks for a moment at the gorilla's remark. At least he was enjoying his view, though she knew that he meant her. Or at least that was what it sounded like. "Well I am glad you are really enjoying your view." she commented. As she spoke she tried to cool herself down a bit, meaning to get the redness gone from her cheeks. "It probably doesn't get any better than this." she joked. Blushing because of a gorilla? Now that would really make a great story to tell her parents about the school all the way in Chicago. But her parents wouldn't even understand and begin to wonder what exactly Cortney was doing while she was at school there.

She watched as he pointed out where the zoo was and was interested in visiting sometime, since there probably was a zoo that she didn't even know about. That would make for a fun day and a break away from school. "All the time? Testing can't be that much fun. And no I don't really get tested for anything unless I'm sick and have to head to the doctors but even then it's not that bad." she answered before he lifted up her arm, "But there are those occasions where I have to take tests in my classes because I'm a human. Your tests in the zoo are probably easier than the ones that I have in school." That was probably true. School was a lot to deal with, especially high school. At least it was only her sophomore year, it was junior year that was the hardest because of all the testing and college opportunities. At least she had another year until she had to deal with that. "Take all you want then." she laughed as he began picking at her hair again to eat.

As he began poking her once more she laughed because of how ticklish she was. Maybe she shouldn't have told him that she was ticklish, though he probably would have figured it out either way because of her always laughing as he poked her. "Of course you didn't mean to do that." she finally said, having no real remark to meeting "very very cute girls". When he took off his mask Cortney was a bit surprised to see a cute blond had been hiding within the mask. "Nice to meet you Benji." she grinned, "Yeah, pretty much and it's for no reason at all. I don't really even know anyone here and all ready they want to mess things up for me." At least Benji seemed nice though, if she hadn’t been sent out to run laps on the track she wouldn’t have run into him. ”I’m glad you see the positive in it like I am.” she remarked, ”So are you hot in that gorilla suit all ready or you just taking a break before running around in it again.”

Benji laughed a bit as she answered about the tests. When she said her tests were probably not as easy as the ones at the zoo he shrugged. you are talking to a gorilla. we are intelligent beings you know. im sure I could do your homework and my own homework at the same time and do a test.. he shrugged. I am a genius.. tis why I broke free dontcha know. he smirked. mm.. besides.. i doubt youd be able to get shapes to fit into shape sized holes.. he hmm'd.

His brows shot up. oh... now you say that and ill never get off your headhe picked some more then finally stopped with a light laugh. should never tell a gorilla he can have something... he'll never stop.. nope nope.. least not me. he grinned.

Benji grinned. mm.. pleasures all mine love. he winked at her and then shrugged leaning against the fence more. theres a lot of stuck up snobs. They probably felt threatened by you. Its hard when a new girl shows up especially a pretty new girl. You're like the new meat you know. all the boys will be all over you in no time if they havent already he said. just the way it is.. they dont like the attention not on them you know..

At her comment benji had to laugh again. ah.. im always hot darlin he winked at her. He knew she didnt mean it like that but i twas fun to make a joke out of it. mm actually im not sure yet. waiting for my brother to tell me hes in the clear but i have a feeling he was caught. Wasnt really a full proof plan and im pretty sure if they find out its not me they know im behind it. he said. know how that is? eh.. al lin a days work thats what i say. he grinned again at her.</sup>

Cortney just matched the grin that Benji gave her with his remark before laughing at his comment about talking to a gorilla. ”Yes, I am talking to a gorilla but how many other talking gorillas are there?” she questioned, ”I know gorillas are intelligent. There’s that Jane Gooddall who did all that research on monkeys and gorillas. If they weren’t intelligent she probably wouldn’t have spent so much time on them.” At his mention of saying he could do both of their homework assignments and a test at the same time she just smiled. ”Well if you can do that you should! I’d love to get some homework off my hands.” she stated, ”You must be a genius to get out of the zoo. I’m sure they have the best security around. I haven’t had to put shapes into shape sized holes since I was little so I may be a little rusty.” Cortney was loving this playful banter. It was fun and Benji was funny.

”Well go for it. You’ll just be the weird looking gorilla who eventually gets caught because you are constantly coming to this school for my hair.” she teased. If that wouldn’t be obvious enough to show something was out of place she wasn’t sure what would. ”For some reason I had hoped there wouldn’t be the usual snobs but I guess this is high school.” she mused, ”Girls are just so weird with how they act. I haven’t had to worry about boys being all over me just yet so maybe I’ll have to keep a low profile to keep it that way.” Benji had a point. Girls usually were threatened by others, the odd thing was that they were threatened by her without even knowing her.

”I’m sure you are.” she smiled, ”You had your brother run around in a gorilla suit too? That sounds like fun. I hope he wasn’t caught, that wouldn’t be good. What would they do to your anyways for running around in a gorilla suit? Put you in detention for disturbing a class or something? That wouldn’t be too bad.” If the school would assume that Benji was behind it that meant he was the usual prankster of the school and the administration knew what was going on. She did hope that his brother hadn’t been caught and was probably being held up by something, kind of like how she was holding up Benji, but not really. ”If the administration show up and count me as an accomplice that would be funny.” she added with a smile.

Just some carefully planted distractions and .. BOOM... im outta there! he laughed. though... as much as id love to do your homework i dont do things for free. he said. what would you give me in return for doing your homework hmm? he asked, leaning forward again on the fence.

He laughed. well i would be really good at evading getting caught if it was for you. he winked. mm.. he nodded in agreement. high school is the same anywhere, just different names and different faces but otherwise its the same. he told her. other then that how are you enjoying the school? he asked. is it much different from your old one? he asked. mm.. hen odded again. ill protect you though. im like king kong. Ill carry you to the top of a tower to save you from all those teenage boy hormones running around here. he grinned. ill be your hero.

He shrugged. eh.. my bro doesnt mind. hes always up for stuff.. not like i made him. he said. but yeah probably throw us in detention, but... we kind of have a record so i dont know how far along we are on what they would do. not like its serious like you said. so... it shouldnt be too bad. he told her with a shrug and ran a hand through his blond hair again. man it gets warm in there.. he rubbed his face some. He laughed again. Ill take you down with me. he said. that way ill have some entertainment in detention class. he said. what do you say to that? new school and already in trouble for just talking to a gorilla. he smirked.</sup>

”I sure hope they didn’t tranquilize the other gorilla or that would be really bad!” said Cortney with a bit of fake shock, ”You’re a super hero gorilla too? Is there nothing you can’t do?” She tried to imagine a gorilla in tights and a cape but could only laugh at the thought. ”I can’t say I’ve seen a gorilla in tights and a cape. But how do you hide your identity? Just hope that people think that another gorilla is possibly you?” That would be a funny job for a gorilla. Sure there were other animal super heroes like Wonderdog but those were all in cartoons, never something that really could happen. At least Clark Kent as Superman was somewhat believable because he had the whole secret identity down and everything. ”Did you just distract them with a doughnut or something?” she teased before thinking about what she could offer in exchange for him doing her homework. ”Well, if it was my science homework you could name your price and probably have it. I hate that class. Anything else, just name your price.” she grinned. Everyone had a price for something and she wondering what exactly he was after.

She just giggled at his remark of getting caught for her. ”Good to know.” she started, ”School is school, just dealing with it really. All the assignments and projects just seem to come from no where at times but it has to be done. This place is a bit different from my old school only because everyone seems to just be meeting people for the first time. At my old school everyone had basically grown up together and had known each other since they were two years old. That’s probably the only difference though.” And yet here she was away from everything that she had known. It was a nice change though that she had no problem with. ”I’m glad I have protection now. But don’t fall off of a tower like King Kong did at the end of the movie. I would rather not have you dead. You wouldn’t be a very good hero then.” she grinned.

”A record for being the class clown and a trouble maker with your brother? Sounds like you two are really close then at least.” she said, ”If you took me down with you that wouldn’t make you much of a hero.” Cortney was only teasing though. ”Getting in trouble for talking to a gorilla would make for a great story and confuse everyone but it doesn’t sound too bad. I’m not sure that I would be very entertaining during detention though. Don’t they tell you not to talk or move or do anything really? Or are you at the point where you do whatever and they don’t even care?” she asked with a grin before shrugging, ”Detention sounds like more fun than just hanging out on campus alone after school.”
