((At the Beginning))

On the small island community, known only as the "Island" there were two groups, factions if you will. The Elite, and the Commoners. These factions did not depend on monetary success but rather the abilities that came with bloodlines. The Commoners, even if they were the richest people on the island, were looked down upon by the Elite because they did not possess abilities that they did, abilities that would make people cringe and quail in fear. The Elite ruled the island that way.

((As Time Wore On))[/font]

The relationship between the Elite and the Commoners were strained. It wasn't to say that they were oppressed but rather they were looked upon as weak and with time, the common came to view themselves as such. It took some time before that view was changed.

((And Then The Tides Turned))[/font]

The rocky relationship between the common and the elite has slowly been mending, at the will and hardwork of their newer generations, trying to bridge that gap between factions. But the spreading of rumors as well as the actions of the Academy have brought into light of two other factions, ones that surpassed the very Elite that had been ruling over the island. Tensions rise and troubles are realized as a power struggle occurs between factions and the poor commoners are in between it all.

((The Present Moment))[/font]

There is a tense truce between factions right now, at the insistence of Commoners and a few of the younger generations who do not wish to see bloodshed erupt because of bloodlines. But How long will it last? When will that last straw break and war erupt?
