the soft layer of his lip tore strictly beneath his teeth; a whisper of pain releasing itself from his vocals. damn, he spat, rolling a tongue over the tender area, the taste of iron delicately tracing his mouth. his face gave a look of disgust, cursing himself for stupidity. who purposely pulled at their lip until it bled? clearly, he did. although, you could hardly call it purposeful when that careless bit of skin cried to be tugged. nevertheless, he blamed himself. the same old routine.
addison found himself in the company of himself, his head thumping from the night before. it was a regular occurance and he merely lived on with it. after all, there was no point complaining about something that was there because of his own doing. if he did not drink until he was passed out... well- wherever he dropped, he would not suffer the next morning. a mere sigh escaped his mouth at his general attitude. addi had changed dramatically from when he had been a small child, content with the love of his parents and behaving in such an innocent manner. their 'good little boy' they had always called him. oh, how times had changed. since adolescence, he had got into the 'wrong crowd' and found himself behaving in a way he had never dreamed off. a love of books had dissolved into alcohol and drug abuse. simply, he was not even a shadow of his old self, but a different person. no wonder they had sent him here - to paris.
eyes swung from left to right, seating himself in a comfortable surroundings of the lake a smile glossed his lips, the empty surroundings pleasing him, but at the same time he felt a certain dread. addison did not always appreciate this... alone time. in fact, he was certainly more content when surrounded with other people. they gave him a reason to act normally. perhaps it was pathetic, but it meant he did not always have to wander off and drink to his heart's desire. a sigh. plus, he always found a certain comfort in the company of others. it confused him why the park was as empty as this, considering the day was beautiful and to be admired. it seemed foolish that others would not take pride in taking a stroll down this end of chicargo, or seating themselves beside him. there would be no complaints, especially if they happened to be an attractive individual.
you see, addison was a flirt. plain and simple.
he always found himself swandering around, flirting with this person and that person, for the mere reason that he enjoyed that rush of pleasure swarming in his abdomen. he enjoyed the playfulness of the situation and the possibility of an interesting ending. the thought thrilled him, a flirtatious look crossing his deep hazel eyes. perhaps he would be joined in time. perhaps someone would hear his desiring thoughts and join him in this humble old place. the whole idea of it made him chuckle, as he pressed his back against the ground and let a soft breeze pass over him, the messy mop on top of his hair dancing almost in the peacefulness of the wind. eyes closed as he let the rays of the sun beam into him. this was the life.
