Keira sighed as she threw pieces of her bagel to some beautiful black and yellow ducks as they swam by. They hurried over to eat the small pieces of bread. It was easy for Keira to see the beauty in small things. She looked around wondering when Landon would show up. They had agreed to meet at the park, mostly because it was close to both of their houses, but keira really doubted that Landon would want to spend the day in the park.

She stood up brushing the left over bagel from her clothing. It was pretty warm out and Keira couldn't see any signs of upcoming rain. All in all it was a gorgeous day out and she was determined to enjoy herself.

She walked quietly down the side walk before finding a vintage looking brown and black bench. She sat down, flipping through her cell phone. It was mostly just old texts from a bunch of friends. Keira had surrounded herself with friends early on. They were all mostly older then her, but she was completely okay with that.

Keira spent most of her time practicing for dance or cheerleading. Her mother was a professional dancer and spent most of her weekends away. Her father worked in business and had to go to New York almost every week for one thing or another. She hated being home alone and having to deal with all the stresses of school by herself. She figured she was lucky to have surrounded herself with so many different people. Most of her friends were guys but she was close to a few girls as well. She always seemed to keep herself away from the drama and what not, well at least so far she had.

After all she was only a sophomore and had no clue what the next two years would have in store for her. Sometimes she wished she could be involved more with all the limelight being spread around. She really wasn't romantically involved with anyone, and most of the time no one even noticed she was around. Sure she was popular and what not, but she was nothing more then the nice girl most of the time.
