Josie logged off of her computer and pushed away from her desk. Standing up to her full height, she pushed her wavy blonde hair over her shoulder. It was always nice meeting someone new at the school and she was excited to be going out. It had been awhile since she had gotten out and she was craving some good music and some dancing. She really just wanted to have a good time. Things had been getting so mundane – which was unusual for the end of the year.
Moving to her closet she decided to change her clothes. She wanted to look good for going out, she never knew who she might run in to while she’s out. A grin dashed across her face as she pulled out a cute shredded black shirt, grabbing a bright pink tank to wear under it and a pair of black skinny jeans. She found a pair of pink, peep-toe pumps that matched her pink undershirt and tossed them on her bed. She glanced at the empty bed next to hers and shook her head. It seemed like her roommate was never there, not that she minded much – more privacy for her. Though, she thought it might be more fun to have someone to hang out with all the time.
Shrugging the thought away she went in to the bathroom to change and fix her make up. Coming back out she slipped on her pink pumps and found her cell phone, keys, fake ID and debit card. You couldn’t live in Chicago and not have a fake ID. It was a must, especially since almost all the clubs were 21 and up. Rolling her shoulder a little, she ran a hand through her wavy hair and looked around, making sure she wasn’t forgetting anything.
Her keys, of course. She couldn’t forget those, or she’d be locked out of her room. She headed towards the door, grabbing her keys and heading outside. She couldn’t drink too much tonight, since she’d have a passenger in the car, but she’d still drink enough to have a good time. Biting down on her bottom lip, she headed out to the front of the dorm where she told Cortney she’d meet her. Looking around she found the dark haired girl and swung her keys around her index finger. ”Hey Cortney, let’s get going, shall we?”

She had yet to go to a club just yet but was excited. There weren’t any clubs back in Arizona that she ever knew about that were for dancing and drinking. Instead they were all the clubs at school, which would fail in comparison to a real night club. Sure she was a little underage but she mostly planned on going just for the music and a fun time, not so much to drink or anything. Quickly she logged off her laptop and left it where it was on her desk. Now what exactly should she wear to the club? There had to be a nice dress somewhere in her closet that her mother had packed away for her. It was always her mother that wanted her to be out in dresses or looking like a “girl”. Not that Cortney didn’t look like a girl but to her mother the jeans and a t-shirt never exactly cut it as a girly look. When she opened her closet she had to dig into the back to find what dresses her mother had packed. Some looked more professional than others. That’s when she spotted a cute knee length jade green dress. It was perfect! Cortney pulled it out of the closet and quickly changed into it. Now she had to find some shoes, but there were a pair of black heels that matched perfectly, since they even had a little jade flower on the side of the toe. So her outfit was complete but she needed to check her hair and makeup, but one look in the mirror proved that it was just fine since she had done it that morning. Next she found a little clutch to hold her phone, some cash, and her id. They probably would laugh at her if she showed up with a school id but she did have a fake one thankfully. Some of her friends from back home said she couldn’t leave without one, so she took it. Now it was finally time for her to get a chance to use it. Closing the door to her room she made her way to the front of the girls dorm, waiting for Josephine to show up. She would rather be early than late so she was fine with just waiting. That’s when she heard a voice call her name as she turned to see Josephine. ”Hey Josehpine. Let’s.” she nodded, ready to go, ”You look great! I’m so excited.”- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Done TAGGED: Josephine WORDS: 431 LYRICS: B.O.B. & Haley Williams NOTES: Thanks for starting! I thought it was just fine! Josie grinned widely when she saw her new companion. She was a very pretty girl and there was no doubt in her mind that they were going to have a good time. Then again, Josie was the kind of person that could have fun anywhere, at any given moment. She liked to make boring situations fun and she tried her best to make sure others were having a good time as well. It was in her nature to be loud and proud and she didn’t really care what anyone else thought about her. She did things her way and she liked it that way. Life was easier and simpler when you made yourself happy and didn’t care what anyone else thought about you.
When Cortney acknowledged her she smiled and tossed her arm over her shoulders, “Hey there good looking, ready for a good time?” She winked jokingly. She unlocked her car as they approached and slipped in to the driver’s seat, waiting for Cortney to get in. Once the girl was in, she revved up the engine before taking off towards the club. She was in need of a good drink, some dancing and some girl time. Lately, she’d been focused on school and her music and hadn’t had much time for herself.
“So, how are you liking Lincoln so far?” She asked glancing over at her wing-girl for the night. “What about Chicago? Have you had time to do much adventuring around the city?” Chicago was an easy place to get lost in, that was for damn sure. She had stumbled around the place for years before she actually got the hang of it. It was definitely intimidating but Josie didn’t let that effect her at all. She liked to know all the hot spots and what she could do and what she couldn’t do. Like driving down some of the streets downtown at night were a no-no. And you never went anywhere downtown by yourself – at least if you were a girl. That was asking for trouble.
She carried on with some small talk until they got to the club. Parking her car in the parking lot, she got out and adjusted her clothing. Glancing around she hooked her arm with Cortney’s and smiled, “Don’t leave, unless I’m with you… these street can be a little… rough.” She wasn’t trying to scare Cortney, she just knew how it could be. Sometimes you’d come outside of a club to get some fresh air, but if you did it alone you could go missing and she didn’t want anything bad to happen to her new friend. “And don’t worry, I know the bouncer…” She grinned and skipped ahead of the line in front of them. Smiling up at the large guy, he grinned at her and let them in without a second though. Slipping in to the club, the flashing lights and loud music seemed to sooth her in an unexplainable way. She felt like she could relax here and it was nice.

Something to do besides school work and all. She had been working hard on all of her assignments so it was time to reward herself. Once in the car she was glad to Josephine could drive. Since Cortney had been sent all the way from Arizona her parents had decided against giving her a car and instead flew her all the way to Chicago. It would have been a long car ride though so she didn’ t mind too much. ”Lincoln is pretty nice. I’m still getting used to being new at the school though.” she answered, ”Chicago is cold but I do love it. It’s a lot different from Phoenix but it’s a good difference. The only adventuring I’ve been able to do though has been going to the mall and then kind of dealing with school. Tonight’s kind of my first official night out I guess you could say. Thanks for bringing me along.” Josephine was a talkative girl, which Cortney loved. Some people just went silent so quickly but at least Josephine was making the effort to talk and keep conversation. ”What do you think of Lincoln and Chicago?” she asked back, not wanting to be rude. When they arrived at the club Cortney was excited. This was going to be fun. As Josephine linked arms with her she said, ”Don’t worry. I won’t leave without you.” That would just be stupid since it wasn’t as if she would know anyone else at the club. At least Josephine knew that bouncer too because the line to the club looked a little long. But they easily skipped it all and were inside within a second. The loud music and flashing lights felt a bit like her own room, minus the flashing lights. Cortney loved music so it was normal for her to play it loudly. ”What should we do first?” she asked. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: Done TAGGED: Josephine WORDS: 342 LYRICS: B.O.B. & Haley Williams NOTES: Sorry for the longest wait ever!
