Josephine couldn’t get the tune in her head out. For whatever reason, she just couldn’t shake it and knew that she had to get it out. Grabbing her guitar and her notebook she headed towards the school’s music room. The only thing she needed right now was a quiet room with good acoustic sound. For now, she realized the Music Room was just going to have to do.
The acoustics weren’t bad, but the room wasn’t very music friendly sometimes. Shaking her head she made quick work of the walk from the dorms to the school. Moving through the abandoned halls she found the music room and ducked in to it. Josie sat down in one of the many chairs that littered the room. The school was practically a ghost town, so she didn’t expect anyone to find her here. It was really early on a Friday morning, most of the kids at Lincoln were dragging ass to get to school. It was the last place most of them wanted to be. She wasn’t much different. Josie was ready to get out of this place and head for LA, but she still had to finish this year. And she still needed to find herself a band.
Shaking the thoughts away, she rested her notebook on the seat next to her, open to a blank page. She set her guitar on her lap and played a few strings, listening to the notes resignate around the room. A small smile danced across the blonde’s face as she strummed at the strings one last time to make sure that the sound was how she wanted it. Nodding her head she pulled out a pen from her messenger bag and stuck it behind her ear, holding her curls back from her face slightly.
Before she could registered what she was doing, her fingers started to pluck at the strings, the melody resembling the tune that had been stuck in her head since early this morning. She bent over her guitar and quickly started to write the notes down on her page and then returned her attention back to her guitar. Her fingers just played without much help of her concentration, that’s just how it seemed to work for her. Her fingers were magic in her eyes and continued to play the tune.
Her crystal blue eyes looked around the room quickly, a light hum came from her lips as she continued to jot down the notes she played and returned to the guitar. Writing lyrics was another little past time of hers, though she didn’t like to hear herself sing. She thought she had a terrible voice, but had heard that she was actually pretty good. Not to her, though, she wouldn’t be caught dead singing out loud. In her head, sure. Out loud, never.
