Kennedy sat in the library, several books wide open, a pen in hand and a piece of blank paper in front of her. She was trying her best to write this stupid paper that she had to do for American History, but nothing was working out the way she had planned it. She couldn’t seem to put pen to paper and just write like she normally did. She hated feeling brainless, which was exactly how she was feeling right now. She wasn’t a stupid girl, not by any means, and when it came to history she was usually on point, but for whatever reason, she couldn’t thread a sentence together.
Crossing and uncrossing her legs several times, she adjusted in her seat. Her blue eyes flickered around the room; maybe she just needed something to get her mind off of things. Taking a deep breath she grabbed her purse and searched for what she was looking for. Finding the orange pill bottle, she slipped two oval shaped pills in to the palm of her hand. Quickly tossing them in to her mouth, she dry swallowed them, letting her blue orbs readjust on the paper in front of her.
Sighing to herself, she placed her pen down. She had absolutely no motivation whatsoever to do this. Pushing her chair back she stood up to her extended height of about 5’8 with the help of her three inch heels. The leggings that she wore underneath the long graphic tee, hugged every curve that she had. Stretching her arms out a little, she moved towards the rows of books. Maybe if she looked around a little more she’d find something that stood out to her.
Pressing her lips together she headed off in the direction of the history books. She had to find something that sparked her interest or she was going to be turning in a blank piece of paper for her assignment. Pushing her dark curls over her shoulder, she weaved her way in to the history section, letting her gaze dance over the spines of all the books, trying to find something that could possibly stand out to her.
Grumbling under her breath, she wished she was anywhere else at the moment but here. A good party maybe, with a couple of drinks in her system—that would be ideal. Shaking her head, she moved in to the next aisle, not paying attention to where she was going when she ran right in to another body.
“Shit, I’m sorry…”She apologized quickly.

Ashton muttered to himself. He was supposed to be writing something about some topic or another. He still hadnt chosen what it was supposed to be about. There were far too many things to choose from and really they should narrow it down. one year he decided to write something on the bermuda triangle but it had been such a broad topic his teacher told him to choose something else. The fucker told him when it was really late in the game. When ashton asked him why he waited all the teacher said was that he thought Ashton had narrowed it down to something else. Apparently Ashton was making more work for himself then was needed and he didnt want to have to go through an entire million page paper about the bermuda triangle. He really hated that teacher. Didnt matter now he was no longer at the school... now they had some new teacher working. Mr. Hill. He wasnt so bad, but still... Ashton wished they had topic choices.
Ashton pulled a book out, flipping through things. Nothing caught his attention. He growled in frustration, muttering a few more cuss words. Ashton glanced up, he was out of earshot of the desk but he still had to make sure the teacher wasnt lurking around. He couldnt afford to be kicked out of the library at this time. Normally it wouldnt bother him, he hated the old hag that was usually there when he was there. She seemed to have it out for Ashton.. at least in his eyes she did. He didnt understand why. He didnt make much noise, only a curse word here and there, but really not like shit didnt frustrate that bitch once and awhile. Not like someone could be perfect.. all the damn time.
Ashton licked his lips, balancing a book in his hand as he ran his other over his head, rubbing the back of his neck. It was sore from bending over the books in such an uncomfortable angle, but he didnt feel like lugging a pile of books over to a table only to lug them back because he didnt want anything in them.
He closed his eyes, tipping his head back some. He didnt even see the person turning the corner until they had run into him, the book falling from his hand and he nearly lost his balance, not that it was super hard that she ran into him, just he hadnt been really well balanced at the moment. His eyes shot open. The fuck man.. he hissed. watch where the fuck you're going... his honey colored eyes now a little darker, blazing with irritated anger as he stepped back. His eyes took in the black hair, she looked like he should recognize her. His irritation was fogging his mind at the moment though. Pick up my goddamn book he ordered pointing to where it was sprawled on the floor.

of a book dropping, startled the hell out of her. Her eyes snapped up to meet a pair of darkening brown eyes. She gave a short perusal of his form, trying to see if she remembered him from anywhere, but she didn't. Her blue eyes narrowed slightly at his sharp tongue; she was pretty used to it though. Kennedy bent at the waist to pick up the dropped book on instinct, she stopped however when words left the guy's mouth. She stood back up and glared ever-so-slightly at him; biting her tongue to stop herself from saying something biting right back. Knowing that the old bat librarian was probably following her around, she had to keep her mouth shut - at least for now. You get caught one time hooking up in the stacks and you're marked for life. Rolling her eyes she leaned down again and snagged the book begrudgingly. Pressing her lips together, she let her eyes move over the cover before she shoved it to him, "Here." Her lips pursed slightly. "I obviously wasn't the only one not paying attention to where I was going." She had been on a mission to find something more interesting to write about and she had been in the zone. Generally she was a very nice person and would have apologized a hundred times over, but there was just something about the way the guy snapped at her that made was triggering her 'bitch switch' as she called it. She figured she'd apologize and go on her way. The dark haired girl tried to move past the guy, but the narrow aisles of books was making that impossible. Clenching her jaw a little, she looked back up to meet the light brown eyes that were looking at her still. Lifting her chin a little, "Excuse me..." Her slim frame was trapped, in a sense, between the tall guy and stacks of books and not in a way that she was used to. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]

Ashtons eyes narrowed more when she glared at him. He had every right to hiss at her, she had no right to glare at him. She had better pick his damn book up, with the look she had given he thought she wasnt going to, that she was going to fuck off and do it himself. Instead she surprised him by still grabbing the book and shove it towards him. He rolled his eyes grabbing it from her grasp. Actually... I was standing in one fucking place... like i have been for the past half hour. you were the one in motion therefore you are at fault for this entire collision. So dont start trying to put part of the blame on me sweetheart. he practically spit out the last word.
Ashton couldnt shake the feeling like hes seen this girl before and maybe he probably has. She looked like she was the type to be out. BEcause of Derick he was always usually out as well and if she was any kind of party goer she was probably at everything derrick drug him to. But something just kept pulling at him, like maybe that was true, but it wasnt exactly what he was looking for in an answer. Ashton hated when he felt like he should know something, but couldnt put it together. It absolutely drove him nuts.
He was pulled from his thoughts when the girl spoke up again. He realized that she couldnt get through. His eyes narrowed again and he put out a hand bracing it against the bookcase on the other side of her, completely blocking her way. Heh... are you forgetting something? he asked brow cocked. He wanted her to appologise. Well technically Ashton could care less, but this was getting on his nerves not being able to get this nagging thought out of his head and plus he just liked to irritate people who already were starting off with an attitude.
Ashton couldnt help the need to get people to get pissed at him. Especially if it was confrontational. He challenged her with his eyes, the cold color of them practically daring her. The corner of his lips were turned up in a smirk, unreadable. It was hard to tell exactly what ashton ever meant or his intentions. He was one of the most unreadable people there was and he preferred it that way.

. Hell, she knew the world was cruel but the last thing she needed was some guy on his high horse trying to drive her absolutely insane. Her jaw muscles spasmed as she clenched it tightly. Part of her wanted to shove him out of her way and another part was telling her to just turn around and walk the other way. However, Kennedy had been trying her best to stay out of fights and racking up more enemies than friends. Though she was pretty sure that she had no desire to be friends with this guy, she really couldn’t get kicked out of the library or the school for pushing, slapping or punching him. Her fists clenched and unclenched at her sides as she tried to calm her nerves. It just wasn’t in the cards. Her blue eyes snapped back up to meet his when he outstretched his arm and asked her if she was forgetting something. Kennedy’s eyes shut tightly as she leveled out her breathing, she was getting too worked up over nothing and part of her had an idea that this guy was looking for this sort of reaction. He was trying to annoy the hell out of her, and he was doing a damn good job at it. Opening her eyes back up, she tilted her head to the side and put on a sickeningly sweet smile. “My apologizes for nearly plowing you over,” She let the words slip from her full lips, the slightest hint of sarcasm playing in her voice. All she wanted to do was to find an interesting topic, sit back down at her table and finish the stupid paper she had to write. For once her mind was on something other than pleasing herself, and some smirking Neanderthal was keeping her from accomplishing that very goal. Though, she had to admit as she looked him over, he was a rather good looking Neanderthal. Letting her face relax a little, she looked at his arm and then back up at his smirking face, “Now if you’ll excuse me I have a paper I have to write.”[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Ashtons brow quirked up even more. He heard the sarcasm in the voice, her sickeningly sweet smile making his other corner tip just a bit more. I cant except something as fake as that. he told her. He leaned in just barely. Say it like you mean in. his voice lowered. Ashton hated his personal space taken up. He hated being in close quarters to people. Though, for the past year that has all gone to hell thanks to this ex-roommate and lead singer of the band he was in. Not to mention his recent roommate though in all honesty he could have stopped that one from happening. There were few times, much like this time, that the close proximity was needed.
When she said she had a paper to write he kind of gave her a look that conveyed a shrug even though he didnt actually shrug his shoulders. too bad. he told her. You havent satisfied my thoughts on what a true heartfelt apology is. And until then, you're not going anyway. he licked his lips. They were unusually smooth for a guy. Ashton had this thing about feeling his lips rough. He usually always had a stick of chap stick in his pocket. Not only did it prevent cold sores or any kind of issue weather could cause, but it kept them from getting chapped and to him that was a big deal. The worse was seeing dead skin on someones lips and them pulling at it and making it bleed. It was rather disgusting and not as if he would be kissing anyone like that, but the thought of what all touches those lips well... transfering derms and things getting into the wounds... really ashton just over thinks things when it comes to little stuff like that.
He heard movement and he glanced towards the opening of the isle. He was expecting the librarian. Seriously he was sure she checked up on him just to give herself something to do. No one was there. Probably some student passing by. He stared just a few moments longer to make sure before turning his eyes back to her blue ones. He wondered if she was just going to give in... or not. He wasnt sure which he'd prefer. He wasnt even sure what he was looking for right now.

The blue eyed girl smiled softly, and tried her best to come off as innocent as possible – which was a pretty large feat for her. He didn’t seem like the kind of guy that liked people in his personal space, and maybe if she pushed far enough in to it he would let her leave the aisle. She didn’t let his words bother her, she couldn’t. They were just words after all. She didn’t move from his personal bubble and honestly she didn’t care what his reaction was to her. It wasn’t as if she had intentionally sought him out to run in to him, she was being as nice as she possibly could without blowing a gasket. Kennedy raked a hand through her dark, wavy hair a small smile playing on her lips. She had apologized, on more than once, what the hell did this guy want from her? She didn’t know him, and it wasn’t like he wanted anything from her like any other normal guy would. Trying to hold her clam demeanor, she let her blue eyes rest back on his darker brown ones. Ashton had wanted to make her uncomfortable. He was the one that had... just barely advanced last time. Though now, she was advancing on him. Getting closer and he could practically feel the warmth from her body since they were barely an inch apart. His nose flared just barely and his eyes darkened again. He didnt like people besting him. He really did not want her to win on this and he did not... absolutely did not like showing weaknesses. He stood his ground even though he wanted to move back. That was another thing about ashton. He would put himself through stuff he normally wouldnt like just so he could prove something.
Ashton wondered if this worked for most people. Well it wasnt working with him. He could see how she might have sexual appeal to most guys. As far as women went, she was attractive. Dark hair and blue eyes were usually a good combination. She had a very nice face and an almost natural pink to her cheeks that wasnt overly girly. She had a good shape too and her style wasnt entirely bad. Most people usually did go off of looks off the bat and if he were one of those then this would have worked on him. He probably would have hit on her. But that wasnt him and it took more then sexual appeal to get him to give in to anything.
mm... he deliberately let his eyes drop to her mouth. Maybe she would believe that her act was working. thats a little better.. he said. He looked back up at her, giving up finally on trying to place her. He wasnt going to sit here and dwell on it when he could just ask her. Names could ring a bell. Whats your name? he asked, leaning in just a tad more. She was not going to best him, he wouldnt let her. Actually... he wondered how far he could push this. It was a much better past time then looking up some fucking topics in fucking books. He let the book hed had in his hands drop to the floor again, turning just a tad so he could brace his other hand on the other side of her against the bookshelf. ha! if he hated the feeling of being trapped, he wondered what it would do for her. Probably nothing, but it was worth a shot.

She pressed her lips together slightly, her eyes showing a little playful glint in them. This was far more entertaining than her paper. Kennedy couldn’t help herself; she was really getting in to making this guy uncomfortable. She usually got more pleasure out of pleasing guys, but something about this was a little entertaining and part of her understood why he had been pushing her buttons earlier. “I might like to remain anonymous…” She ran her tongue over her teeth teasingly, not backing down from his taller frame. Smirking a little more at him, she waited a few beats before leaning even closer to him, the material of their shirts touching now. Her lips close to his ear, “The name’s Kennedy…” She stated softly, she waited a few beats before pulling back and letting her blue orbs move back up to his handsome face. Her brow lifting slightly waiting to gauge his reaction; with her reputation she wouldn’t be surprised if he was familiar with her name. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]

He should be expecting something, but when her hand touched his arm, his skin practically flinched and he held back any kind of reaction he might visually have. He couldnt control his skin though... he wasnt sure if that was entirely noticeable though. He wasnt sure if that was more of an inward feeling then an outward one. He gave a snort and roll of his eyes as she said she might like to keep anonymous. Right.. he said.
She didnt wait long after that to lean in even more. He could feel her breath at his ear as she told him her name was kennedy. His brows rose. He should have known. There was only one person he knew named kennedy. The pictures on the chat are rather small so really it was no wonder he didnt catch it fast enough. Then again maybe it was because he didnt care enough but he usually was the type that liked to know who each person was because if need be he would use what he needed to to his advantage.
his teeth gritted together inside his mouth as he leaned in as well, this time far enough that their chests were touching. Again his thoughts that he would not be beat in his head. His mouth moved in close to her ears as well kennedy? heh... what a stupid name for a girl. he said. parents hate you or something... he leaned back again to where he originally had been. He was not going to admit to knowing her, wasnt going to admit to who he was either... at least yet. Ashton didnt like for everyone to know who he was.
He leaned back again further, casually, but didnt move his arms from where they were bracing around her. He held himself ready to move his arms if need be if she decided she was going to move out from under his arms. He glanced over again, but still no one seemed to be around. That was good. God only knows someone he that actually did know who he was would come by and start making assumptions. He didnt really care what people thought of him, but at the same time he did. He was particular about what he he actually cared about spread through about him. Then again why would anyone even care about what he did. He wasnt popular and he wasnt the kid that kids pickd on all the time. he was in the middle not even... so.. really... anyting pertaining to him was... unimportant.

Was her simple reply. She definitely didn't like the idea of her parents being brought in to the conversation. She didn't let the fact that it bother her show, instead she settled back in her original spot, blinking a little more realizing his arms were still somewhat trapping her in the aisle. She could get away if she wanted to, but there was something about him that intrigued her ever-so-slightly. Kennedy noticed the way he looked around behind them. She figured no one was there, at least no one had made some random outburst about the entire situation. Glancing up a him, her blue eyes looking over his face, "Don't worry, I think we're the only people in here... no need to worry about ruining your reputation by being seen with me..." She smirked a little and glanced over at the bookshelf to her right and then back over to him. The dark haired girl should have probably pushed through and continued her perusal of a better topic to write about, but instead she stayed where she was. Biting down on her bottom lip, she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. She rested one of her hands next to his and leaned against it. "Something's telling me you're not going to clue me in on who you are..." Her free hand went behind her back as slender fingers twirled a few strands of her dyed black hair. She lifted her shoulder, showing that she really didn't care either way. "Not that it really matters, cause I could just refer to you as the Anonymous Hot Guy from the Library..." She smirked a little bit. Kennedy was less annoyed then when this whole thing started, maybe it was because she knew she had gotten under his skin, even if just a little bit. Pursing her lips she looked up at him, "You might want to pick your book up..."[/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]

Hm... he shrugged some. Story of everyones life, right.. his voice oddly deep and monotone for his skinny stature. Usually people didnt expect the way his voice sounded just by looking at him and some even commented. He never understood why it was even that big of a deal that they had to say something. He was just glad he didnt have some high pitched annoying voice. And he thought the monotone fit him regardless. He just hated when Derrick made him sing back up on some of the songs because he honestly thought that was one of the stupidest ideas ever. Compared to derricks voice his was complete shit. But whatever it was derricks band not his.
heh... he looked at her again at her comment about worry about his reputation being around her. didnt know I should be worried about my reputation. he said. Is yours so horrible that mine would be tarnished just talking to you? he asked. He hated people presuming things about him. granted it was pretty much the same thing he did with everyone else, but that was him doing that to others, not others doing it to him.
Ashton shrugged when she commented that he probably wasnt going to tell her though when she said she could just refer to him as the hot library guy he snorted. whatever floats your boat sweetheart he said. In all honesty he really didnt find himself attractive. His eyes were too big, his face too young looking, his nose roundish and his lips too full for his thoughts. His hair didnt do anything either lay flat or curled a bit when it didnt cooperate. His body was far too skinny and hed had several people assume he had an eating disorder. He was sure he had bags under his eyes as well because he rarely ever slept at night, especially since he hadnt been going out half as much the past week. When he went out he usually got trashed and passed out at some point. Those times were fine because he was too trashed to remember any kind of dreams or be woken up by them. He was just dead to the world.
Hed actually had some druggie he was smoking pot with one time look at his arm and tell him he had great veins for shooting up with. Just because they stuck out on his thing arms. Ashton wasnt a shooter.
Ashton looked down at the book then shrugged looking back up at her. I dont need it. he told her. was going to put it away anyway... if you want it so much.. you can pick it up. he told her. So.. kennedy.. he said leaning forward again his voice lowering what kind of girl are you? he asked he didnt move back this time. they were couple inches apart. He didnt like how she seemed to be calming down now.

She told him. But she really didn't care about her reputation. People could talk all the shit they wanted about her, but it didn't bother her. She had gone through hell and back; she wasn't going to let some petty bullshit get to her. She wouldn't deny that most of what was said about her was true. She liked to party - a lot - she liked to drink - a lot - and she dabbled in some recreational drugs. On top of her partying she liked to have sex and quite a bit of it - if and when possible. Licking her lips she, lifted her chin again, eying him carefully. She ignored his comment about the book and bit down on her bottom lip when he leaned in closer to her, his voice lowering as he spoke to her. Kennedy moved her hand from the bookcase and let it move back over his, she smirked a litlte more getting the same reaction out of him that she had before. It was amusing to her. Leaning in just a pinch closer to him, her lips only a hairsbreadth away from his smooth face. "Mmmm.... not your type I'm sure..." She stated softly. She took her time pulling back from him, her blue eyes meeting his brown ones again. She was anything but stupid, and she knew that he was playing with her. "You don't care what kind of girl I am... so why bother asking?" She questioned, one perfectly manicured brow shot up. "You've already made your assumptions about me, Anonymous Hot Guy from the Library..." She mused out loud. "So why don't you share your assumptions with the class?" She questioned him sarcastically. She honestly didn't care what his assumptions of her were, though she had no doubt he'd probably hit a few solid points and then bull shit his way through the rest. She was used to people attacking her way of life, but she didn't really give a fuck what anyone thought of her. She lived the way she did because that's what she knew and it was comfortable for her. If there was one thing she didn't like that was change and being uncomfortable. [/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

The worst I suppose.. he mm'd and then tilted his head at her. When she touched his arm this time he was prepared. His body didnt go against him thankfully. He gave her a look like oh really when she said she probably wasnt his type. He was getting use to the close proximity with them that it wasnt phasing him right now. Besides it was needed and that usually overrode it after the initial bother of it. not as if i was speaking to find out if you were, but... if I were.. what makes you think you're not my type? he asked, brow quirked. Regardless if she was playing coy or if she was presuming, he still wanted to know.
He gave a shrug of his shoulders again. maybe I do want to know. he said. You're assuming things miss kennedy. You shouldnt do that. Who knows.. maybe I am very interested... he gave her an unreadable look. Unless you're just playing hard to get, but I would think that you would be used to guys wanting you... why would you assume one didnt? he asked. He brough on hand from the bookshelf down to her side, running it down lightly till it stopped and rested on her hip. Arent I a guy with a libido? And are you not an attractive girl in very close proximity to me? I think thats good enough for a guy giving hints that he may want a girl. he said.
When she said that he already made his assumptions about her that he should share them with the class he snorted. mm.. do you really want to hear my assumptions? he asked. Im fairly good at reading people you should know.. he ran his tongue out over his bottom lip, his hand still at her waist, and he tilted his head to the side again as if he was in thought.
Alright then... i think... well.. clearly the parents are an issue.. he stopped. You.. are... a party girl. You drink... drugs, sex... lots of sex. you dont care who as long as they're attractive. you come off as someone who doesnt care, but... he stopped again. probably because you think that its the way you were meant to be. its the way you've always known so thats the way it is.. he tilted his head to the other side. ... parents... they arent around anymore but when they were they... he stopped as if he was gauging her reaction. ... you were a.. daddys girl and in the worst possible way... not by choice either... as for mommy... she... didnt care about you in fact she probably took her frustrations out on you... his brows rose... and. therefore you think that this is all you are... he leaned in, body pressing her against the book shelf. well? he asked. Do i get an 'A'? he asked.

She mused, thinking back to when she had accidentally bumped in to him and made him drop his book. The same book that was back on the ground between them. Kennedy tilted her head a little to the side, her free hand placing itself on his chest, as she looked back up to meet his brown eyes. “That is unless we’re in elementary school again and that was your way of pulling my hair on the playground…”She kept her hands on him, it didn’t bother her in the slightest; she was used to it. Lifting her chin to look up at him with interest she nodded her head when he asked if she really wanted to hear his assumptions. Kennedy licked her lips slowly as he tilted his head, wondering what exactly was going to come out of those full lips next. She couldn’t hide the slight reaction on her face when he told her that the parents were the issue. That wasn’t usually the first thing out of people’s mouths, but she brushed it away. Her blue eyes staying trained on his brown ones as he continued. As she listened to him her heart began to beat a little bit faster. He was hitting the nail on the head with everything. This made her wonder, she hadn’t told anyone about her father or her mother. No one knew why she was here in Chicago, so how the hell did a complete stranger know? She didn’t let her demeanor change at all; she kept her eyes locked on his. He leaned in and his tall frame had her pinned against the book shelf. “To bad you’re not interested, I could reward you well for your high marks…” She retorted, her blue eyes flashing over his face carefully. He had been trying to get a rise out of her this entire time, and she wasn’t going to let him have it. She still couldn’t believe how he had figured all of that out. She tried to rack her brain, trying to figure out if she had let her secret slip out to anyone, anyone at all. Then it hit her. The chat. There was one person she had let in on her little secret, at least partially. A small grin spread across her face and she tilted her head to the side. She slowly let her hands move up and around his neck, pulling him a little closer. “Well, it’s nice to finally meet you Ashton.” [/blockquote][/blockquote][/ul]
