It wasn't for the intention of avoiding you. Its more or less to let you and Carson have you're time together. I'm sure you don't want to hang out with your boyfriend with me in the room. And you always have your reasons, but you don't ever explain them. So I'm going to just call it avoiding. Because that's what you're doing.
